24.7 Mpx, Full Frame

Nikon D610

This is my first and only full frame camera. I can not say that it is the best, but you can take pictures of it. Of the obvious disadvantages is focusing, it is very difficult to shoot in motion and in difficult lighting. In all other cases, she copes well with her duties and has a good color rendition. In 2018 I do not recommend buying it.

AF 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art for Nikon

Sigma 35mm

Definitely the best lens I’ve ever had. In my opinion, 35mm is the most universal focal length, I use this lens 90% of the time, and maybe even more. It gives a nice picture and very sharp on the open diaphragm. Like most Sigma lenses, it requires calibration after purchase. Almost always I shoot at the aperture f/1.6 – f/2.8, in rare cases, when you need to save the background, close to f/4. Autofocus is fast, misses seldom and only because of my curvature.

AF 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art for Nikon

Sigma 85mm

Very controversial lens. It’s expensive, big, heavy, I rarely use it. Requires alignment after purchase, without it – a piece of shit. As a portrait he is steep: razor sharp at open, instant focusing, beautiful color rendition and pleasant bokeh. For me, it is very highly specialized and suitable only for large portraits, which I rarely shoot. If suddenly someone wants to buy this giant, then I advise first to look towards the more affordable lens Tamron SP 85mm F/1.8
